Description
English: The Republic of Councils Monument at original place in Városliget. It is a giant charging sailor based on a 1919 revolutionary poster. It was finished in 1969 by the artist Kiss István and stood oposite the big Lenin Statue at Dozsa-György-Boulevard, beside the Városliget city park. Relocated to the Memento Park.
Magyar: Tanácsköztársasági emlékmű (Felállítás 1969. március 21., Kiss István, Hofer Miklós) a Regnum Marianum templom helyén a Damjanich utcával szemben. Itt egy 20 x 21 méter méretű, spirális talapzaton állt. Lebontották, majd a Szoborparkban (XXII. kerület, Szabadkai utca) vörös tégla talapzaton újra felállították. ...rohamléptű vöröskatona, kezében jelképes lobogóval szimbolizálja a forradalom gondolatát, a proletáriátus erejét...— mondta a mű alkotója.
