Medium linen warp, cotton weft plain weave
Dimensions

Warp: 132 cm (52 in.). Weft: 79.5 cm (31 1/4 in.) Both selvedges present.

Pattern: Height of repeat: 30.5 cm (12 in.). Because stripes are offset width of full repeat is not present.

  • Type: Textile with chef de piece
  • Inscribed: At one end of the fabric the factory mark in use from 1762 to 1783. Other block printed marks on front are: MR enclosed in partial box in deep red, partial TS enclosed in pink box, indistinct PP enclosed in box in blueand partially readable numbers including 26 and 94 in grey. On back; IC? enclosed in box in olive and J.I in black; also D3205.
