English: Royal Thai and U.S. Marines listen to a range safety brief Feb. 12 at Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand during Exercise Cobra Gold. The Thai Marines were given a demonstration of the various machine guns, including the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, M240B Medium Machine Gun and the M2 .50 Caliber heavy machine gun currently employed by U.S. Marines around the world, during a familiarization event. The Thai Marines are with 3rd Company, 7th Battalion, Royal Thai Marine Corps. The U.S. Marines are with Weapons Company and Headquarters and Service Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
