GROUP OF SIBERIAN ESKIMO, IN ESKIMO VILLAGE, PAY STREAK A group of Siberian Eskimo, transplanted from the bleak snow barrens which lie behind East Cape on the North Sea, to the milder climate of theExposition, makes one of the leading features of the Eskimo Village, on the Pay Streak. This section of the Village to all appearances, was picked upbodily with the Eskimos themselves, so true a picture is it. The snow ar.d ioe are there and there are the igloos of caribou hide and everything todelineate the life of the Czars most northern subjects. The deftest craftsmen of the tribe are in the village and they carve curios from the ivory tusks ofthe walrus and hammer crude jewelry from bars of gold and silver. One of the most interesting features of the village is the nursery in which areseveral little micaninies, one of whom was born since the tribe was brought to Seattle. The other occupants of the Eskimo Village are Alaskanand Labrador Eskimos.
