A double triple convertible lens, of which each single com-ponent renders a different size image, admits of three sizes ofimages to be taken; adding an auxiliary lens to cap over thedoublet, selecting one that will decrease the focal length of thelatter, adjusts this camera for taking four sizes of images, viz.,doublet, single front, single rear, and the auxiliary placed overthe doublet. The latter is veryadvantageous to use in copying photographs, permitting themto be copied larger than the original, also small objects andarticles placed within close range of the lens. The shutter with lens-board attached is often removable,and can be placed with front to inside of camera, allowing thelatter to be ensconced in the focusing cloth a plate holder oneach side within, and tied with a string to form a neat packet,over which is placed a shawl strap with handle attached.
