Y. florists club outing.The fifth annual outing of the Flor-ists Club was held July 17 atThree mile point, Otsego lake. Al-though the weather prospects were un-favorable in the forenoon there was arepresentative for every ticket sold andabout 75 florists and friends started on excursion was tried. The weatlier wasperfect for a picnic day and as a resultthere was a big attendance of the flor-ists, their families and friends. The start, July 19, was made onschedule time but owing to the lowwater in the Minnesota river the boatwas obliged to turn back and go downriver where a landing was made atRed Rock and where the running racesand rifle shoot took place. All theevents were keenly contested and ifUncle Sam ever wants for any crackmarksmen or sharpshooters he wouldfind a small regiment of them righthere among the florists. AT THE UTICA FLORISTS CLUB PICNIC, JULY 17. the s6-n)ile trolley trip. The ride fromUtica to Cooperstown is through theprettiest and roughtest section of cen-tral New York. Upon arrival the cloudswere breaking but as it was raininglightly the party at once embarked onthe steamer Mohican for Three MilePoint, where everything was in readinessfor dinner and pleasure. The hardwork had been don6 by Wm. Wagnerand wife, of Cooperstown, who receivedthe thanks of every one present for thesuccess of the excursion. After spend-ing three very pleasant hours at thepoint the boat Pathfinder called forus and we had a 22-mile ride on thesmooth waters of the lake. The rainhad ceased and with the fine music of afive-piece orchestra which had been tak-en along the ride will be remembered byall as one of the most enjoyable of theirlives.
