There were once some wonder-ful mills and whenever one felt oldand tired and discouraged, he went tothe mills, and they ground out beauty,joy, pleasure, youth and contentment.These mills were lost, and for manyyears men searched for them in vain.They have been found again. Mothernature has given them back to us, forour flowers and plants are the old mills,come back to us again. The childrenof nature will inherit the beauty thatothers have lost; they inherit the giftof giving pleasure to humanity; andever since the days of the lost mills itis the flowers which keep us young andhappy, which bring us joy, pleasureand contentment. The first day included visitsto three prominent growers at Fram-ingham, Mass., and to the Waban RoseConservatories at Natick. Mass. J. T.Butterworth, the renowned orchid spe-cialist, was the first visited. He hasbeen in business 50 years, and it waswith justifiable pride that he exhibitedhis valuable collection. He is using theoldest commercial greenhouse in Mas-sachusetts, a lean-to which was builtin 1848, and he finds it admirablysuited to cypi-ipediums.
