Two Unusual Chest Cases 33 On looking up the literature, however, Iam unable to find any cases reported inwhich .r-ray examination revealed the con-dition as shown here, except a case reportedby Pancoast in The American Journal ofRoentgenology, March, 1918, which maybe of the same type. He merely says, in re-gard to the case, that the girl was referredfor supposed esophageal stricture, but theobstruction in the esophagus was neuroticin origin. complains of soreness in the right hypochon-drium, most marked soon after eating; alsosome gnawing sensation in the chest, behindthe heart. These are relieved by belching ofgas after taking alkalies. Occasionally, dur-ing the past few years he has had to bringon vomiting by tickling the pharynx to getrelief.
