I do not see that it makes any differencewhether the tube is rotated or not so long asthe required lateral movement of the focalspot is obtained and the opening in the shieldor side of the cone (if they used one) doesnot cut off any of the required beam ofrays. Figures i and 2 illustrate the two types ofposition for stereoscopic radiography. FigureI shows the target of the tube moved throughthe proper distance, but in a plane horizontalwith the plate. Figure 2 shows the target ofthe tube moved through the proper distancebut through an arc, so that the central ray isat all times focused at the same spot on theplate.
