Another bank building de-signed by Architect Weeks andwhich will be built immediately,is for the Peoples Savings Bankof Santa Cruz. This, too, is onthe classic order, and will cost,including the fixtures, close to$70,000. Roof Garden for Hotel A feature which will be uniquein San Francisco, and an innova-tion in hotel life, will be added tothe Hotel St. Francis with the com-pletion of the new wing which issoon to be commenced on the lotadjoining the hotel on the north.This will be a roof garden, notunlike the famous Madison SquareGarden, and it will cover a largepart of the area of the hotel roof.Entrance will be gained throughthe Post street wing, and the placewill be open to the public. Plans are now being prepared bythe architects, Bliss and Faville,and Arthur Putnam, sculptor, hasbeen called into consultation forideas.
