The first requisite of a ball player is, of course, the ball and bat. TheSpalding Official League Ball has been used exclusively by the NationalLeague, minor leagues, and by all intercollegiate and other associationsfor over a quarter of a century, and is beyond all question the most per-fect base ball that has ever been produced. It is backed up by an absoluteguarantee to last through one continuous match game without ripping orlosing its shape. The Spalding Official League Ball is sold by all first-class athletic <?oods dealers throughout the country, and the price is $1.25each. For boys use especially, there is a smaller size, called Spaldings OfficialBoys League Ball, which combines all the qualities of the Official ball, and is just as carefully made. It is especially designed for junior clubs(composed of boys under sixteen years of age), and all games in which A SPECIJU. AWARD *:° CRAIND PRIZE e were won by A. G.
