The Surveyors Institution.—At the ordi-nary general meeting held on Monday, April 20,1903, The President (Mr. Akthur Vernon), inthe Chair, a paper was read by Mr. H. TrustramEve (Fellow), entitled Modern Methods ofValuation of Manurial Residues. A short dis-cussion on the paper took place, and was ad-journed to the meeting of Monday, May 18. Avote of thanks was unanimously passed to Mr. Evefor his paper.—A general meeting of memberswas held oh the same day for the purpose ofapproving a proposal for an application to HisMajestys Privy Council for sanction to certainamendments and additions to the bye-laws.
