GARLAND SALAD, SNOWFLAKE DRESSING Drain a No. 2 Vj can of Del Monte Fruit Cocktail,reserving syrup. In saucepan, blend 4 tsps. sugar,3/4 tsp. salt and 2 tsps. cornstarch. Add J/j cup of thefruit cocktail syrup and cook till thick and clear, about5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in 3 to 4 tbsps.vinegar. Whip V3 cup thick sour cream (or J/j cupwhipping cream) till smooth but not grainy. Fold intocooked mixture. Arrange salad greens on fruit. Tosswith dressing just before serving. Serves 6.
