I didnt mind too much not having a maid. Then thewoman who did our washing went for the big pay envelopein the bottling plant, and I was sunk!. . . Because our threeLids pile up a lot of laundry in a week. And after a day overthe ironing board, 1 felt like a left-over from a train wreck! So when Ted—always a soft touch for something new —trotted home with one of those Yale irons for which he pan I$17.65 of OUR money, I was not amused—not any! Well.. .that TipToe is the darndest iron! So light you just dont believeit atjirst. Seems to bounce all the heat out the bottom, driesand smoothes the fabric fast without hard pressing. Know about the Toe? This iron bends on the bottom nearthe front. Tip the handle forward, and most of the ironingsurface rises off the board at an angle. You iron with theToe alone—its wonderful for tucks and ruffles and Jinnyscute little fluffy dresses—and you dont have to be afraidof scorching!
