The Orphans Home of the Synodof North Carolina at Barium Springsis in pressing need of more room forthe accommodation of the increasingnumber of children applying for ad-mission, and the Synod has author-ized and encouraged the Regents toundertake the erection of a CentreBuilding, according to the plan here-with submitted. The home is alreadyovercrowded, and much inconven-ience is experienced in conductingit as it now is, while the superin-tendent is compelled to turn awayneedy and deserving children. Wetherefore appeal to you to help uswith liberal contributions so thatwe may begin the good work ofbuilding at once. The plan of the building has beencarefully considered, will be veryconvenient, and its estimated costis ten thousand dollars. Not wish-ing to tax our generous pebple withthe expense of a soliciting agent, wehave concluded to request the earn-est and active co-operation of all ourministers and people in raising the necessar
