During all his career, Mr. Pembernever lost his interest in the birdsand with the splendid building aboveshown, he presented a magnificent col-lection, containing thousands of speci-mens gathered from all parts of theworld, of birds, eggs, and curios ofmany kinds. Of late years, he has given much at-tention to botany and now possesses afine collection of the plants of theEastern and Middle states, and a prac-tically complete collection
