Position of Cowper; glands behind anterior layer of deep fascia. by a tense, fibrous septum, constituting one of the chief supports ofthe pelvic viscera above, and known by the various names of•deep perineal fascia, triangular ligament of the urethra, Cam-pers ligament, middle perineal fascia, ano-pubic aponeurosis,etc. This septum is composed of two layers, separated by aninterval in wnich are found the membranous portion of the urethra,which necessarily passes through the deep perineal fascia to arriveat the surface, the compressor urethrae muscle, Cowpers glands andducts, the arteries of the bulb, and the dorsal vein, nerve, and arteryof the penis.
