opped by a bigman in a new blue suit. He came swingingin and all but knocked her down in hisblithesome haste toward the tellers window. Anna! She glanced up and beheld Dune Leacylooking very handsome and urbane in hiscitified clothes. A childish resentmentovercame her with the thought that he hadnever dressed like that for her. The roomwas swimming round, but even then shecould read in his eyes a warmth and anenthusiasm she had not seen there thesemany weeks. Anna, he persisted, taking her by anarm, youre all in! I—I didnt know youd come back, she told him weakly, and leaned againsta rack of counter checks to save her un-certain knees. Just about an hour ago, he told her inhis changed, happy voice. Ive broughtback some bully news, Anna. Lets sit down, she implored, almostin a whisper. Text Appearing After Image:
Phil said home furnishings were too costly nowadays toexpect to begin where the old folks left off. But I soon thoroughly convinced him that when itcame to the floors the most economical ones we could havewere Blabon Art floors of Linoleum. How did you ever do it? Oh, I just got out the Post and showed him theadvertisement of Blabon Art Linoleums, where it toldhow there are beautiful inlaid patterns to harmonize withthe furnishings of every room in the house, and how theirbeauty goes clear through to the burlap back and givesyears of service, and— that a Blabon floor may be waxed and polished if onewants, and— that Blabon floors make housework easier because theyonly need a light regular going over with a damp cloth ormop. And I reminded him that as long as we had to get alongwithout a maid some means would have to be devised toprevent his bride from becoming a household drudge. That was enough! He capitulated on the spot! The George W. Biabon Company Philadelphia EstabliiheJ t>
