Arms (recorded in Lyon Register).—Quarterly: 1st and4th, argent, a chevron chequy gules and of the first be-tween three hunting horns sable, garnished and stringedof the second, for Semple ; 2nd and 3rd, azure, a crosspatee fitchee or between three bears heads couped argent,muzzled gules, for Forbes. 568 SEMPILL, LORD SEMPILL Crests.—1st, a stags head argent attired with tentynes azure and collared with a princes crown or, forSemple; 2nd, a cock proper, for Forbes.
