500px provided description: The Statue of Aristotle on the Plateia Aristotelou, beginning of the Odos leading through center of the city and Agora (Forum) to... the Cathedral built continuously since 313 AD, devoted to the Patron of Thessaloniki, Agios Demetrios.

Please notice the red of the colonnade behind, it's the same one of the columns of Knossos, Crete where the Palace was erected some 16 centuries before Christ AD, and excavated some 150 years ago, whereas the colors and especially this red are the original there. This red on columns or more buildings' elements can be seen overall in Greece.

The 5th photo of this series had problems when uploading and doesn't appear on my wall.
