The routes of all of these roads, excepting the Los AngelesRailway, are indicated on the accompanying map, Fig. I. Thismap covers the valley of Southern California from the oceanto the San Bernardino Mountains, and from the San GabrielMountains south to the ocean, and includes most of Los AngelesCounty and parts of San Bernardino, Riverside and OrangeCounties. The Pacific Electric Railway Companys completedand proposed lines are indicated, as are also the roads of theLos Angeles Interurban Railway Company, the Los Angeles-Pacific Railway Company, and the Los Angeles & RedondoRailway Company. The tracks of the interurban company,which are indicated by short dashes, are really only tentative,since, although they are covered by the companys charter, theirconstruction may be considered at present as only a possibility, February 27, 1904.J STREET RAILWAY JOURNAL.
