and I sliot two finally to malce sureof the identification. A good many times 1 watched them drop downinto a biuich of weeds and would literally have to kick the bunchbefore they would tiy out, only to drop Into tlie next one. They werefairly common here about Denmark (if one knew where to look forthem) till April 21. Nearly every time I have found Swamp Spar-rows in company with them. Robert L. Baird, Denmark, Iowa. Brunnichs Murre on Lake Erie, 1907.—A Brunnicirs Murre wasfound in the eastern part of Sandusky, Oliio, in the water near BigIsland, and picked up December 1st, 1907. It lived two or threedays in captivity. I had it mounted. The taxidermist told melately that two others were brought to him at the same time. Oneof my pupils told me that four of these birds were sliot December ;!d,by the Teasel Brothers, who said they could have shot two more. Itmay be that the two not killed were those mentioned by the taxider-mist. E. L. MosELEY, tSaitdiifiJ,!/, Ohio. MAPOF POINT PELEE
