The success of un aquarium depends upon the proper action of the aquatic plants, and these require, in order to act prop- erly, their share of light and warmth to the same degree as ordinary house- plants do in order to flourish, and if one can supply these wants, the expense of keeping an aquarium in excellent order is very little indeed. To secure success, an aquarium should therefore be always near a win- dow. In the accompanying sketches we show the various positions that may be chosen for an aquarium. In each case it will be seen that justice is done to the plants in the aquarium as well as to the persons wishing to enjoy an hour or two of wholesome recreation. Subscribe for The Aquarium now.
