No. 60. American Chatr. The coarse canvas covering of Chair is ornamentedwith Crewel Work, executed with double crewelwools.

No. 61. Travelling Cask for Wraps and Bed Linen. Foundation of strong leather; lining of brown holland, ornamented with embroidery stitches worked in ingrain scarlet cotton. The pockets are madelarge enough to hold sheets, pillow cases, rugs, and night gear. The small rolls contain brushes and combs, and washing appliances. The 1is fastened together, when rolled up, with railway rug straps. Plate XX.
