To work Fig. 597: In this pattern the threads arenot Knotted on to a Cord as a Heading, but are arrangedupon large-headed pins as follows. Place a row of pins,along a blue line of the Cushion, a quarter of an inchapart; cut a skein of threads at each end, take two threads,and double them over each pin. First row—work a Solo- \ iiiltiiiiii knots in each Bar. Fifth row—Knot six Knots on thefirst Chain, then take the next two Chain Bars, and passthe fourth thread forming them round the others, as inthe first part of Macrame Knot ; divide the threadsagain into pairs, and work the Cbain Bar six knots toeach Bar. Sixth row—make a Solomon Knot on everyfour threads, and pin it down. Seventh row—work a Cordas in the second row. Eighth row—take eight threads,divide them, and make the top half of a Treble Star ;
