Specialized machinery and carefully plannedteam work can make productive units of badly handi-capped men with whom the average employer is notwilling to bother. Large provision for this class of menhas been made by the Lord Roberts Workshops, whichare being multiplied in different parts of the country.Some ten years before the war the Soldiers and SailorsHelp Society opened workshops in London to provideemployment for disabled ex-service men for whom itwas extremely difficult to find work.
