I fhall therefore conclude the prefent chapter by pre-ferring to my readers, a performance of a deceafed friend, inwhich the character of the fable and faffron beauties of theWeft Indies, and the folly of their paramours, are pourtrayedwith the delicacy and dexterity of wit, and the fancy andelegance of genuine poetry, * the purpofe; the intendant keeping the churchwardens to tbeir duty.
