It is difficult to imagine anything more beautiful in its waythan this Bornean Ladys Slipper. The lip is a purplishgreen, and smooth as if French-polished ; the sepals aregreen, with a purple tinge near their base ; the petals arequite 3 inches long, spreading and then curving gracefullyinwards and upwards, narrow near the base, pale, greenishyellow, blotched with deep brown, and rose-coloured at theends, which are twice as broad as the other parts. It issaid to be a plant of easy cultivation, and is a great acqui-sition.
