Nantucket is reached by steamboats, the sailing ports on the main-land being New Bedford and Woods Holl, termini of Old Colony Kail-road lines, and intermediate landing-places being at different points onMarthas Vineyard. The distances are : from New Bedford sixty miles,Woods Holl thirty-four miles, and from Oak Bluffs (Marthas Vine-yard) twenty-eight miles.
