Camp Nominigan.—The new camp hotel in the park is located on the easterly shore of Smoke Lake, one of the largest and mostpicturesque of the park lakes and is known as Camp Nominigan.The word is Ojibway for balsam, and is most appropriate, for theregion is rich in this aromatic growth. Here, on a point facingthe south, and furnishing glorious sunset pictures across the laketo the west, has been built a log camp hotel enterprise, similarto those of Maine of world-wide fame. CANOEING PARTY, ALGONQUIN PARK 26 Grand Trunk Railway System series of individual log cabins, all built of cedar logs with the barkon, chinked with cement and moss and thoroughly in keeping withthe natural beauty of their location. The central lodge and thecabins are comfortably furnished and have modern conveniences,with bathrooms and hot and cold water. The large lodge is usedfor general rendezvous and dining room, and the log cabins furnishprivacy for families or parties. This arrangement has proved agreat success in many of the best similar resorts of the East. Rates,$14 to $18 per week. The routes to the new camp are: one by road from AlgonquinPark Station, and a canoe route from the latter place. The campwill be fully prepared to receive guests at the opening of theseason of 1913. For particulars address Manager, CampNominigan, Algonquin Park Station, Ontario.
