The opening of the interurban trolley line between Hartford andSpringfield, Mass., occurred on January 13th, under the auspicesof the Hartford & Springfield Street Railway Co. The first carsover the line left Hartford having on board a number of the officersof the road and officials of the two terminal cities and interveningtowns who were guests of the company. When the car reachedWarehouse Point the party stopped at the power house whichtiny inspected and lunch was served in the car barn. The trip overthe remainder of the road was then resumed.
