General transportation facilities have existed for many yearS with theHouston and TexasCentral Railway, theSouthern Pacific, theTexas TransportationRailway, the Houston,East and West TexasRailway, the TexasWestern and the Hous-ton Direct NavigationCompany, each withtheir general offices, be-sides the division officesof the International andGreat Northern, theGalveston, Houston andHenderson, the San An-tonio and Aransas PassRailw&y and the Hous-ton and Columbia Rail-way.
