\1EW ON I.INE. Station as far as the Pemberton Station, a little bejondHull, at the extremity of the narrow peninsula, one sideof which is known as Nantasket Beach. The length ofthe road is 6.91 miles, and of this there are 4.4 miles ofcurves in about 20 curves, the sharp-est being one of 10 degrees. Theline is almost level, the only gradebeing one of about 34 feet to themile. The track is laid with 70pound rails, with 15 feet space be-tween the track centres and the bal-last is of stone. Each joint is bond-ed with a flexible No. 0000 bond ofstranded copper, seven inches long,riveted into the flange of the rail.There are present ten stations butothers will be built to allow of stopsabout every \^ mile. The overhead trolley line is car-ried upon poles set between thetracks. These poles are of southernpine, thirty feet long, twelve by four-teen inches at the butt, and ten by ten inches at the head; and are set at intervals of sixtyand seventy feet on the curves, and ninety feet on theth
