The speed of the grate is grad-uated so that the time of travel to the rear end is sufficient forcomplete combustion. For the rapid and economical handling of coal and ashes, thisplant is completely equipped with the latest design of the McCas-lin conveyor, which was furnished and installed by the John A.Mead Manufacturing Co., of New York City.
