The accompanying map shows in outline the extent of the vari-ous routes in the city. Besides the streets previously occupied thir-teen additional streets were laid out w^ith track. The whole system is found in large quantities in the fissures of the coral rock, andused for condensing purposes. Above the concrete foundationsthere has been erected a steel structure, carrying a traveling cranecapable of easily handling 45 tons. This crane is operated withelectric motors.
