Greenautomatic cut off engines, received during June: One 280-horse-power engine for the Akron Street Railway Com-pany, of Akron, O., to be direct coupled to a 250-horse-power generator, built by the Walker ManufacturingCompany, of Cleveland, O.; one iSO-horse-powerenclosed type self-oiling engine, for the Watson Mining& Manufacturing Company, of Monongahela City, Pa.,for an electric mining and haulage plant; one 65-horse-power enclosed type self-oiling engine, for the LyceumTheater, Philadelphia; one 175-horse-power standardcenter crank engine, for the Freeport Electric Companj,Freeport, 111.; one 65-horse-power enclosed type self-oiling engine, for Knight Brothers, Fayette, la. Thereis considerably more inquiry, and with a settlement of therailroad strike it is believed that a substantial improve-ment in business will be the result.

The railway apparatus built by the Card Electric Com-pany, of Mansheld, O., is progressing in its fame andname among the street railways.
