Among these the following are to be foundon the accredited list of the North Central Association of Collegesand Secondary Schools: Belleville, Bridgeport, Centralia, Collins-ville, Duquoin, Flora, Harrisburg, Lawrenceville, Marshall, MountVernon, Murphysboro, and Robinson. In the central part of the State which is very rich as an agricul-tural district the movement has been more conservative. Yet here,too, the past three or four years have witnessed very rapid develop-ments. It has remained for this section to emphasize the idea oforganizing entire counties, practically, into high-school districts.The counties which have made the most notable progress in thisrespect are: Champaign, Coles, Douglas, Ford, Iroquois, Macon,Macoupin,
