the right, above a white house, on the Indiana side, you mustkeep the right shore until you get near Yellow Wilsons, or a large brickhouse that formerly belonged to him, then incline to the left, and keepdown until opposite the left hand point, called Hughes^s bar. Then ifyou run the lower channel, make along crossing for a clearing with awhite house on the right side. If the upper channel is taken, run squarein for a cluster of trees about 250 yards above the house, then keep near-est to the right hand shore until you reach the point below on the right. Knob Creek, right side. When you reach the point below Knob creek, steer over towards theupper house in the head of a short bend on the left, run the bend andthen wear over into the right hand bend; after you run that out, crossover between two bars to the bend above Salt river. Keep down thisuntil within half a mile of Salt river; now pull out one third of theOhio from the left shore, keep that distance out until opposite a frame 7^
