English: After a somber ceremony for Albania's 99th year of independence at Forward Operating Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, Nov. 28, Albanian special forces soldiers, often reserved and quiet, opened a flood gate of emotions as they danced and screamed in celebratory fashion. Since its acceptance into NATO in 2009, the tiny nation just south of Kosovo, where many ethnic Albanians remain, has been a part of the many troops-contributing nations in the war on terrorism.
