mera is much larger than any of thosealready mentioned, being, I should think, abouttwenty feet square. Nothing can exceed the ele-gance of the forms, the richness of the dress, and thebeauty of the ornaments. The principal subjects onthe side-walls are highly adorned dancers of bothsexes, and at the upper end there is a magnificentbanquet with festal tables, luxurious couches, andsumptuously attired guests. But, as will be seenfrom the picture, the devastations of damp, neglect,and the outer air, have already destroyed nearly onehalf of the principal subjects, and the Avhole is goingrapidly to decay, so that ere long it must be totallyobliterated. It is much worse preserved than anyof the others, which is extremely unfortunate, asfrom its size, the variety of its subjects, and thebeauty of its execution, it is even more valuable andcurious than the rest.
