Description
English: "mechanical toy, locality- Germany. Clown in donkey cart. Toy works with key and spring winding. Goes forward and in reverse. Length 19cm x height 14.5cm." (col.card) Material- tin, felt, cotton. Colour- donkey is grey, clown is red, yellow, white, black, carriage is multicoloured. Markings- clown has red tin legs with yellow smock (big black buttons) with black hat which has a red cotton tassel on it. Clown sits on a donkey carriage for one, carriage wheels are tin with white trim and feature two clowns holding each others ankles. Rear of carriage has another clown on it (red and blue). Carriage has spring cog mechanism at its base, which has a wind up key at the bottom of the base. A third small support wheel protrudes from the front of the base. The donkey is in harness. All tin with cotton tail, moveable legs and ears. Donkey is in harness. all tin with cotton tail, moveable legs and ears. Donkey is covered in grey felt. Cotton reins.
