The last on the list, so far as known to the writer,is Adam Spengler, who was manager of a pottery atZurich, which was commenced in 1763, vide TheQueen, of 6th May, 1905 ; or about 1759, vide Marksand Monograms, 4th ed., p. 503. According to theformer authority it is said that Spengler applied themethod of printing on earthenware in black and colour, which was developed in England, and Dr. Angst evenhints that he (Spengler), may have invented it.
