to any coal-tar product, both as an antipyretic and as an analgesic, especially as scientific observa-tion shows that under its influence the blood pressure in the radial arteryrises and dicrotism disappears. The drug was used with markedly favora-ble results, even in cases of advanced phthisis and in ulcerative endo-carditis. It is administered in doses of four to seven and one-half grains, and in the latter amount, three times a day, was found to give a moreprompt, decided and prolonged relief from the intense pains of alcoholicpolyneuritis than either sodium salicylate, phenacetine, antipyrine, orexalgine. Kryofine, therefore, would seem to lack, at least to a largeextent, those deleterious effects which are so objectionable in other mem-bers of the coal-tar series. Hypnotic Magazine.—The Hypnotic Magazine, Chicago, is filled withexceedingly interesting and well-considered articles upon suggestive andelectro-therapeutics, now occupying a large place in the thought of theprofession.
