Clayton is an art historian and educator at Virginia Commonwealth University in Doha, Qatar. She has worked in the Islamic state since 1999, researching women artists in Arab cultures, postmodern film in the non-Western world and women filmmakers in the Muslim world. Observed throughout March, the installation's equal opportunities program honored National Women's History Month by supporting the theme announced by the National Women's History Project, "Women's Art: Women's Vision.' |
