English: British military tunic - Edward VII period (Regimental Corps) red Melton cloth jacket with cream facings, collar and cuffs, and white piping at front at back skirt and around shoulder straps; seven buttons at front cut- single-breasted; waisted; unhemmed skirt pleated at back; brass belt hooks at waist skirt- pleated at back with pointed flaps either side collar- stand-up collar fastened with hook and eye, navy cloth lining shoulder straps- fastened near collar with medium brass buttons; stitching close to shoulder hem indicating position of badges cuffs- pointed cuffs in cream pockets- one internal pocket at waistline lining- cream flannel lining to body above waist buttons- British Universal pattern brass buttons - British coat of arms- garter surmounted by Tudor crown and lion with motto- HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, with lion and unicorn supporters and base scroll with DIEU ET MON DROIT front- seven buttons shoulder straps- two medium sized buttons shirt at back- 6 buttons (three each side) badges- missing markings inside jacket front- black stencil- 3 W - 9664 - 2 12 |
