English: U.S. Army Soldiers from the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team apply an intravenous catheter to a Soldier simulating injuries Dec. 18, 2007, during the final day of a four-day combat lifesaver course at the Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center in Edinburgh, Ind. The course teaches advanced first aid and lifesaving procedures, from controlling bleeding, conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation, reintroducing fluids into the body and stabilizing a casualty until medical personnel arrive.
