Description
English: Hull Technician 2nd Class Megan Patten, from Covington, Ga., uses a plasma cutter to cut out flanges for a pressure relief valve aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18). New Orleans is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and, with embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
