English: Airman Benjamin Mones, a Salinas, California native, stationed aboard USS New York, prepares to direct the take-off of an MH-60S Sea Hawk with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28 during flight operations Jan. 10, 2015. New York, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship, deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group/24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
