English: Units of the Grand Fleet at Scapa Flow
A finished watercolour, signed by the artist, lower right. The battleship on the right is the 'Royal Oak' (1914) with other R-class battleships beyond her. On the left are 'King George V'- or 'Iron Duke'- class battleships. The peaceful nature of the scene is emphasized by the presence of three dinghies under sail, fishing boats and fleet tenders. The date is 1917-18. There also appears to be a fragmentary or erased pencil inscription to left of the signature.
