Common fea fait, and Sal Tartar, beingflrong imbibers of fulphureous fleams, I dip-ped the four Diaphragms in ftrong folu-tions of thofe falts, as alfo in white winevinegar, which is looked upon as a goodanti-peftilential: Taking care after each ofthefe Experiments to cleanfe the fyphonand bladder well from the foul air, by fil-ling them with water.
